We hope you are enjoying your summer and are eagerly anticipating the start of a new school year. The Waverly PTA is already busy planning for the upcoming year, and we look forward to working with you!
The Waverly PTA enables you as parents to become directly involved in your child’s school. Our membership plays a huge role in the success of our organization and we encourage your participation. We hope that you consider joining the PTA during our upcoming membership drive this fall. You can become involved in a number of ways, including attending monthly meetings, chairing a function, serving as a Class Parent or volunteering to help out at events. Activities and announcements will appear in the Waverly Whisper, our school newsletter and on our website, waverlypta.org. You can also receive up to date information by signing up for our email blast.

Although fundraising is not a goal of the PTA, it is necessary because it supports all of the great programs we continue to offer the children. Proceeds from all of our fundraisers directly benefit our students in the form of Cultural Arts assemblies, school field trips and other enriching experiences supported by the PTA. 100% of our fund raising benefits our children and our school.
This year when you become a PTA member, we will be asking for a once-off per family donation of $50. This will consist of $10 membership dues, plus a $40 donation. The donation will be earmarked to cover the cost of Cultural Arts events such as field trips, assemblies, author visits and other enrichment. A calendar of Cultural Arts events paid for by the PTA has been added to our website but please note that individual dates and performances are subject to change.
We will undertake additional fund raising during the year to cover the cost of the Waverly PTA‘s wider program. While we encourage your participation in wider fund raising such events as the Boys‘ Event, the Girls‘ Event and the Fall Family Day, these events are optional for all Waverly families. We understand the economic realities of the current climate and appreciate your support as we raise money to enrich our children’s educational experiences.
